Background

Fabian obtained his Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Translation Studies from the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg, Germany, and the University of Tampere in Finland.

 

He graduated from University of Potsdam in Germany with a Master's degree (M.A.) in Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics, completing his thesis on the Effects of English as a Medium of Instruction on the Grammaticality of Hong Kong students' English Writings.

 

Previous Employment

 

Before joining the Department of Government & International Studies at Baptist University in 2019, Fabian worked as a DAAD Lecturer at The University of Adelaide in Australia, where he designed and conducted German language classes at all proficiency levels (A1 – C1). Fabian subsequently lectured at the Chu Hai College of Higher Education in Hong Kong (Department of English) where he coordinated the College's partnership programs with universities in Germany, and taught courses in linguistics, academic writing as well as English and German language courses.
