Dr Nicole Scicluna joined GIS in August 2021. Prior to that, she was a lecturer in International Relations at the University of Hong Kong (2017-2021), a lecturer in Politics and International Studies at the University of Birmingham (2015-2016) and a postdoctoral fellow at Collegio Carlo Alberto, Turin (2013-2014). Nicole’s research and teaching interests include European and EU politics and law, and the relationship between international law and international politics. She is the author of The Politics of International Law (OUP, 2021) and European Union Constitutionalism in Crisis (Routledge, 2015). Her work has also been published in the European Law Journal, the International Journal of Constitutional Law, the Journal of European Public Policy, the Journal of Common Market Studies and West European Politics. She obtained her PhD in International Relations in 2013 from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia.
