Sebastian Pahs studied at the University of Erfurt where he obtained a Master’s degree in European History. He started teaching as a Visiting Language Instructor and Coordinator for the German Program at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. After returning to Germany, he became a freelance teacher for integration classes working with immigrants and refugees for several years before joining European Studies at HKBU in 2019.
Since 2024, Sebastian is recognized as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He was also awarded the Faculty/School Performance Award 2024 in Team Teaching.
