I obtained my Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Translation Studies from the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg in Germany and the University of Tampere in Finland. I then graduated from the University of Potsdam in Germany with a Master's degree (M.A.) in Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics, where I completed my thesis on the effects of English as a medium of instruction on the grammaticality of Hong Kong students' English writings.
Before joining the Department of Government & International Studies at Baptist University in 2019, I worked as a DAAD Lecturer at The University of Adelaide in Australia. There, I designed and conducted German language classes at all proficiency levels (A1 – C1). Following that, I lectured at Chu Hai College of Higher Education in Hong Kong in the Department of English, where I coordinated the college's partnership programs with universities in Germany and taught courses in applied linguistics, phonetics, academic writing, as well as English and German language courses.
At HKBU, I began my journey as a lecturer in the European Studies Programme from 2019 to 2021. Following that, I took on the role of Programme Coordinator (German) from 2021 to 2024. Since 2024, I have been serving as the Director of European Studies in the Academy of Geography, Sociology, and International Studies.
