Kenneth Chan (D.Phil., MPhil. Oxon; B.Soc.Sc. CUHK) joined the Department of Government and International Studies in 1998, where he also served as the Director of the Comparative Governance and Policy Research Centre and Programme Director. In 2012-2016, he was elected member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council (Hong Kong Island Geographical Constituency). He has held visiting positions at the University of Warsaw and Gdansk University (Poland), the University of Macau, the University of Caterbury (New Zealand), and Sciences Po Bordeaux (France).
