Officialising the HKBU-SciencesPo Lyon combined degree programme.

Visit of Prof. Renaud Payre, Director of Institut d'études politiques of Lyons (SciencesPo Lyon), and Dr. Béatrice Jaluzot, Director of Institut d'Asie Orientale and programme coordinator at SciencesPo Lyon, to officialise the HKBU-SciencesPo Lyon combined degree programme.


The first of its kind for the Faculty of Social Sciences, this dual degree programme allows students from the GIS Department to spend two years at Sciences Po Lyon (3rd & 5th year) and graduate with HKBU B.Soc.Sc. (Hons) in European Studies (French Stream) and the Diplôme of Sciences Po Lyon, equivalent to a master's degree. Conversely, students from Sciences Po Lyon will also study two years at HKBU (3rd & 5th year) and graduate with two master's degrees, the Diplôme of their home institution and a master's degree of HKBU's Faculty of Social Sciences.


Following the presentation of the curriculum by Prof. Payre to the potential dual degree candidates from HKBU and SciencesPo Lyon, PVC Prof. Chin and Prof. Payre proceeded with the signature and exchange of documents at the residence of the French Consul General, with the participation of: Mr. Benoît Etienne, Consul for Cultural Affairs; Ms. Diane-Sophie Trévoux, Attache for Cooperation; Dr. Albert Chau, VPTL; Prof. Adrian Bailey, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences; Prof. Alistair Cole, Head of GIS Department, and Dr. Emilie Tran, coordinator of the European Studies (French Stream).
